The Spanish goalkeeper has pledged to keep new terms with the Red Devils that will keep him at Old Trafford until at least the summer of 2023.
David de Gea has put an end to the uncertainty surrounding his future by signing a new four-year contract at Manchester United.
The new terms of Spanish in Old Trafford include the option of an additional extension of 12 months to take it until the summer of 2024.

Now, United is pleased to announce that its four-time player of the year has started writing and has put an end to speculation that suggests it could be directed towards free agency.
De Gea, who has been with the Red Devils since 2011, said on the club’s official website: “It has been a privilege to spend eight years in this great club and the opportunity to continue my career at Manchester United is a true honor.
“Since I came here, I could never have imagined that I would play more than 350 games for this club. Now my future is fixed, all I want is to help this team achieve what I think we can and win trophies again, together.
“As one of the older players on the team, I want to support and lead in any way I can to help younger players, so they know what it means to play here.
“I still feel that I have much more to achieve in the club and I really believe that Manchester United can build on the club’s tradition of success and reward our fans for their support.”
“I am committed to continue paying fans for all the care they have shown me during the good times and the bad times.”
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer added after seeing his number 1 commitment to a long-term project: “I am delighted that David has committed his long-term future with the club.
“In recent years, David has proven to be the best in the world and a vital part of our plans in trying to take Manchester United where he belongs. David is a fantastic person and his excellent quality provides the perfect base for our defense.
“During his time here, David has really understood the values of playing for Manchester United and now represents everything you want in a goalkeeper.
“As a player, he is still very determined and hungry to achieve more. We all hope to work together to fulfill these ambitions in the coming years. ”
During his time with United, De Gea has had 367 appearances.
He is one of the few players still listed in the club’s books that has tasted a triumph of the Premier League title, while also experiencing successes from the FA Cup, League Cup, Community Shield and Europa League.
