Matic responds to transfer speculation after Mourinho joins Tottenham

Manchester United’s midfielder Nemanja Matic, has indicated that he might be willing to reunite with José Mourinho at Tottenham.

The Serbian star was with the Portuguese coach in Chelsea and Manchester United and helped him win the Premier League title in 2015.

Matic, 31, has apparently fallen out of favor with United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, making only five appearances this season, while also limiting his playing time due to a string of injuries.

That has led to suggest that the midfield maestro could be among the January signings at Tottenham, who on Wednesday confirmed Mourinho as their new boss less than 12 hours after firing Mauricio Pochettino.

And the recent activity in the social networks of the soccer player suggests that it is something that he would consider.

In response to BenchWarmers’ Instagram post about a possible change to North London, the midfielder responded with a couple of emojis clapping and laughing emojis.

Meanwhile, Mourinho arrives in North London in need of repairing his reputation after a toxic final few months of his time at Old Trafford.

Portuguese was often depicted with a disheveled appearance, he was often bad tempered in press conferences and allowed a fall-out with Paul Pogba to affect the club.

He seems rejuvenated, no doubt excited about the possibility of being able to return to work in London, and insists that he will show passion for the role.

Barcelona joins the battle to name Mauricio Pochettino as the Europe’s top clubs chase

BARCELONA and Bayern Munich are ready to jump for Mauricio Pochettino.

The Argentine will return home in Spain after the shock Spurs sacking on Tuesday.

Poch is in the unusual position of having the best clubs in Europe forming a queue for him, despite losing his job after a bad start to the season.

Ernesto Valverde is under pressure at Barça and they will look for the former Espanyol manager if the LaLiga giants wield the ax.

Bayern Munich has Hansi Flick, fired boss Niko Kovac’s former No 2, as their interim coach and want to talk to Poch, 47.

But it is Barça who are making the biggest move.

In 2017, Poch said he could not see himself managing them despite being seen with long-term friend and Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu.

He said: “Before being a manager, being loyal is more important. I am a fan of Espanyol. It would be impossible for me to manage Arsenal. ”
